New Things In My Beauty Stash

Hello lovelies! I thought I’d share some new things in mt stash today, not as a haul as such as a lot of this I won in a giveaway from the lovely Jasmine! I haven’t tried everything but I thought I’d share some initial thoughts on everything.

First up is the Yes To Coconut Energizing Coffee Super Eye Mask. This is kind of like a sheet mask that sits around your eyes like an ultra funky super hero mask. It was very cooling when I applied it and it had a nice hydrating quality. I cant say it made much difference to my dark circles or any puffiness but it felt very cooling and left my eye area nice and soft. The next thing that definitely needs a mention is the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define concealer. This concealer has had a lot of hype recently and its definitely worth it. Its very full coverage but isn’t too drying for my under eye area. I also find it doesn’t crease on me either which is a huge win! I love this stuff but the small container only lasted me about a week… which is a mild disappointment. I decided to order a retinol, but in all honesty I’ve been to scared to use it! I’m only 22 so aging isn’t a massive concern for me but I think using something is definitely better than using nothing. I picked up The Ordinary 0.2% Retinol in Squalane as I didn’t want to start with anything too strong. I haven’t been brave enough to put it on my face but I know the effects of retinol are meant to be great so when I pluck up the courage I will report back. I also recently picked up a Makeup Geek Plush Lip Matte in Party Girl. This product is actually really nice, its a liquid lipstick but it doesn’t dry down completely so it keeps the lips hydrated and stops them from getting all dry and crusty by the end of the day!  I really like to colour too, its super bright and very fun. I picked up another bottle of the Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist as its my favourite setting spray! I mostly spray this on my beauty blender and I feel like my makeup always blends in so well, its also great for taking away any powderiness on the skin too and leaves my complexion looking bright and natural. Another Pixi mist to add to my collection is the Pixi Sun Mist, which I’ve really taken quite a shine too! I took this on holiday and it was really great to use as a top up throughout the day, especially on hard to reach places like the back of my neck. Its not a super high SPF but definitely worked well to keep me protected throughout the day and it wasn’t too sticky! Since we’re talking about skincare I should probably mention the Vichy Mineral 89 serum. I haven’t tried this yet but I’ve heard some good reviews so I’ll keep you all updated on that one. A few Soap & Glory mentions, I’ve landed myself a new Supercat liner, which is always handy and I’ll definitely use this up once my other liners are done. The Thick and Fast Mascara which is an old favourite of mine so I’m very excited to add a fresh one to my collection and the Peach Party Highlighter, which has become a nice addition to my ‘everyday’ makeup bits and pieces. It has a nice peachy hue and adds a very beautiful glow to the skin without looking over the top. Another highlighter which has really blown me away is the Iconic London Iluminator. This stuff is seriously glow-city. If you want to beam and glow and want everyone to know about it – this is the highlighter for you. My only quibble is that you need to blend it in pretty quick as it does dry down quite fast – but other than that – its amazing. A brand that I’ve actually heard of is Color Wow. I ended up with this Texturizing Spray and I’m very impressed. This gives a really nice hold to the hair and gives it a lot more grip and a lot of texture. I’ve been using this non stop and its really become such a staple. Another staple that I’ve discovered is the Eyeko Brow Gel – I started using this when I ran out of my beloved Anastasia Brow Gel. The Eyeko offering doesn’t have as much hold but it adds a nice bit of colour to the brow hairs and really makes them stand out. I love how tiny the brush is on this and I love that its tinted too. One product I’m a bit on the fence about is the Pixi Its Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette. I love Pixi as a brand and I love their skincare but this just didn’t really wow me. The colours are nice but I just find the shimmers a bit lacking and the mattes have a crazy amount of fall out – which is a shame to see from my favourite brand. I’ll definiely still get use of this, I just need to work with it a little bit! Lastly the Rodger and Gallet The Fantasie body spray. I actually have used loads of this already, its a very nice day-to-day scent which isn’t too strong and has a lovely sweet, light scent. Its very lovely and I definitely recommend giving it a whiff.

A huge haul of things.. apologies for the long post!

Have you picked up anything new lately?
