Hello, Its been while. I’m still here, I promise. I’m just finding a schedule that works and felt like I needed some time away from everything on the internet for a little while. However, I did try out a new style for taking photos, so please let me know how you like it, or if you prefer my flatlays. I haven’t actually made many beauty purchases recently (seems so out of character for me?) but I’ve been learning to love what I’ve got, and this is what I’ve had on the go for the past little while.
I’ve been into keep my base looking fresh and hydrated, so for primers I’ve been loving a combination of the Becca Backlight Priming Filter and the Huda Beauty Complexion Perfector. I know a lot of people don’t believe in primers, and I’ve come to realise they don’t actually do a log in terms of increasing the longevity of my makeup but I love the Becca offering because it gives me such a healthy looking glow, and the Huda Beauty one makes my base nice and sticky, so other products adhere to it really well. For foundation, I’ve been keeping it really simple. Mixing a half pump of both The Ordinary Coverage and Serum Foundations together gives me everything I look for for creating an even complexion. Mixed, they give me a good medium coverage which is light weight and not overly drying. These foundations are very affordable too, and come in so many different shades. For concealer, I’m still head over heals for the Seventeen Stay Time concealer, because it just does what I need. It isn’t drying under my eyes and it covers pretty much anything I need covered. For definition I’ve been loving my Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow, as its simply the best shade for my pale complexion. It adds some subtle shading and prevents my skin from looking flat or lack lustre. To keep things nice and glowy, I’ve been using my Becca Highlighter in Pearl nearly everyday for quite some time. A light layer is very pretty for the daytime but if I’m heading out then I can definitely build this up for a pretty sheen on my cheeks. It also compliments my pale skin very well. Since picking it up, I’ve been obsessed with the Anastasia Dipbrow, Its very smooth to apply and last all day on me – I can see why its such a staple in so many peoples collection. I’ve been blessing my lashes with the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara for a while now, so much so that I think its tine for me to repurchase. This adds so much drama to my lashes and it lasts all day without flaking or smudging. Lastly, for lips, I’m a liquid lip kind of girl. Kat Von D Mother, Anastasia Dusty Rose and Barry M Pose are all strong contenders on a daily basis for me. They all look stunning and each are as comfortable to wear as the other. Hopefully I can keep blogging on a regular basis, but I can make no promises.
