Hello everyone, I hope you are all well andI hope you’re enjoying my new blog template too! I recently made it to 1000 followers on Bloglovin’ and thought it was totally time to change things up here. I also have a little giveaway planned soon too, I’m just organising a few things and then it’ll be right with you guys!
I recently purchased the Full Spectrum palette from Urban Decay, after eyeing it for what seemed like the longest time. I found in John Lewis unexpectedly and it had about 20% too which pretty much meant I couldn’t pass it by. I’ve been wanting to experiment with creating different looks for a while now and its given me all the shades I need to just go for it. I created this rainbow kind of look where I pretty much used as many shades as possible, I filmed myself trying it out for the first time too so you could see how the shadows performed. The audio isn’t great in the video, but I’m looking into getting a microphone soon to make things sound better for the future! I’ve found that all of the shades are pretty pigmented, apart from Metamorphosis which didn’t really transfer well onto my lower lash line. When I swatched it for taking photos for this post it actually showed up really well so it may just be better with a white base under it if you’re planning to use it on the eyes. I love the formula of UD shadows and I really cant fault the palette in terms of blend-ability and texture of these (aside from the one), overall all the colours are really bright and really stand out. The palette looks kind of terrifying on first glance, especially for someone like me who is 100% a neutrals girl! I think it’ll push me to add more colour into the looks I create and I think you’ll be seeing a lot more of this palette on my Instagram where I tend to post my makeup looks. I also love that there is a good selection of mattes, shimmers and satin finishes in the palette too as it gives a lot more versatility to what I can do with it. I’m thinking of using it as part of a rainbow inspired collection of looks, staring with reds and finishing with purples? Maybe 7 looks to mirror the differed hues of an actual rainbow, let me know if you’d like to see this cause I’m not totally sure!
