Louise Young LY06 Brush!

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for the blush brush of all brushes! The Louise Young LY06! This brush literally hasn't left my makeup bag since I 'accidentally' purchased it a couple of months ago. By 'accidentally' I mean I saw it and just couldn't resist... But how could I not?

First things first, it is thee softest brush I have ever felt. I could sweep this over my face all day long its so soft. Its also the perfect size for a blush brush too, some brushes are too big or too round but this is just perfect. Its rounded and the top and kind of flat on either side (worst description ever, sorry). This means it picks up the perfect amount of product and blends it in to the skin seamlessly. According to the Louise Young website this brush is called the 'super blusher' and I can totally see why! It just gets the job done without any fuss or complication. It might not be the cheapest brush but its lovely and I'm so happy I splurged on it, I mean we all have to treat ourselves every once in a while? Although I probably treat myself a little too often in the beauty department! If you find a Louise Young stand then seriously, give the brushes a feel and I promise you won't be disappointed! This brush is made with natural hair so I don't think it would be ideal for cream products, but its a dream to use with powders. Even though I use it for blush you could totally use this for bronzer, contouring, highlighting or even just powering your face! Its an all round winner. I found this brush in a Harvey Nichols store but they don't stock the brand online (sad face) you can however, find it on the Louise Young website.

Revlon 'Elusive' Colourburst Matte Balm!

Hello everyone! Today I'm talking about Revlons latest lip product that seems to have taken the beauty world by storm. The matte and lacquer balms have been all over my newsfeed lately so I thought it only seemed right to pick up one for myself, right? Maybe it was just an excuse to go beauty shopping in my favourite place: Boots....

I was pleasantly surprised by this number, I don't usually tend to pick up matte lip products as I have the worlds driest lips but this wasn't as horrific as an experience that I thought it would be. I don't know how but these lip crayons manage to be both matte yet balmy on the lips both at the same time. They almost feel like velvet when you apply them and they're so light it doesn't even feel like you're wearing anything more than a lip balm. At the end of the day my lips were a little dry but nothing that a good coat of lip balm didn't sort out through the night. This is my favourite colour from the line which is Elusive, a sort of muted rose pink which I think is the perfect everyday shade. I really want to try some of the brighter colours as I'm really impressed with this product, from formulation to lasting power. These seems to stick around on my lips for a long time too, probably due to the matte formula! I'm in love!

Aerin Kaleidolight Palette!

Looking to treat yourself soon? Then look no further than this gem that I stumbled across. The Aerin Kaleidolight palette is my new best friend, now a staple in my makeup bag and a product I've been reaching for on a daily basis! Who are Aerin? A question I'm sure plenty of you are wondering. I'm terrible at explanations but they're basically a mini brand within Estée Lauder. You can find the Aerin rage at Estée Lauder counters or through the Estée Lauder website!

This product is pricey at £40 but it comes in a beautiful pink velvet case and has stunning gold packaging which makes it all worth the while. Its certainly one of those feel good products! It has a beautiful collection of matte and shimmer bronze shades with the addition of a rose-pink and a lavender. I love mixing these all together and sweeping them around the outer perimeter of my face to create a warm glow to the skin. Its like a bronzer but it seems to look a million times more natural. I have a very pale skin tone and I find the shades perfect for warming up my face, however, if you have a very deep skin tone I'm not sure this product will show up as well. I also really like the blush shade, the pink on its own makes for a really natural, everyday colour that brightens up the skin perfectly. The colours in this palette work beautifully on the eyes as well and make for some really wonderful warm toned looks. On both my eyes and my face this palette holds up great throughout the day! If you're feeling a little spendy, or like treating yourself soon - this is the gem to pick up!

Aerin - Available Via Estée Lauder and John Lewis.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in '107'

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to talk about an old favourite of mine, Rimmel Kate Moss 107. I know its a favourite of Zoella's too and I'm not going to lie - its the reason I bought it!

I love these lipsticks as the formula is great, they're matte but not so much so that your lips end up dry and chapped by the end of the day. It glides on super smooth and opaque and lasts really well on the lips. When it needs a little touching up a second coating smoothes over without causing any weird gathering of the product which happens with some matte lipsticks. I like the smell too, its kind of a mixture of both fruity and kind of like cucumber too! The colour is also amazing, its a deep, burgundy red which is a perfect colour to wear in the autumn and winter but if you're anything like me (or Zoella) its great to rock all year round!

Real Techniques Modern Natural Makeup Kit!

Bit late with the review of this perhaps, but its still available on the Real Techniques website so its still totally relevant! Sam and Nic are my favourite YouTubers, they make the perfect duo on their channel and I've learnt so much from them. I love their brushes so when they released these kits, I was all over the Real Techniques website immediately! If you don't know who Sam and Nic are I suggest you check out Pixiwoo right now!

The kit is so handy, it comes with four gorgeous eyeshadows, which might I add are super pigmented and blend like a dream, a gel liner, a blush, a cream highlighter and two super cute lip glosses. Yup, I did a fantastic job of forgetting to swatch the liner but its pretty good. Sometimes it goes on a little sheer but with the right brush it works fantastically. The eyeshadows are amazing, in terms of texture they remind me of the likes of Urban Decay, they can have a little fall out but hey, we can deal with that. On first impression I was disappointed with the blush, its pretty sheer and I thought it wasn't going to show up on my skin but actually with a little bit of layering it looks great. The peachy-pink colour compliments my pale completion so well and I reach for this palette just for the blush quite often now! The cream highlighter is amazing! It gives the most gorgeous sheen to the skin, it makes me look so healthy and glowy and I can't get enough of it! Lastly the lip glosses, in their tiny little tubes, are pretty impressive too. Sheer in colour but without any stickiness what so ever, they're a winner in my book!

I was recently in Poundland, just having a browse and picking up a few things like toothpaste and what not when I decided to take a look in the makeup department. Usually the makeup selection in Poundland is awful, just cheap rubbish from brands I've never heard of. On my last trip however, I found Rimmel, and L'Oreal! AMAZING!

I found 6 different shades of the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows, which I've been wanting to try for ages. I picked up all the different shades I could find because I got so excited.. Anyways, I got Pebble Grey, All Night Blue, Coconut Shake, Burning Black, Metallic Lilac and Naughty Strawberry. Quite the selection of colours I might add! I'm also really impressed with them, I haven't had a chase to fully try them out but they all look stunning and swatch beautifully - apart from the matte shades, Coconut Shake and Pebble Grey which seem a little patchy. Look out for full reviews on these bad boys soon!

I also found 2 of the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Paints in the shades Slate Grey and Golden Bronze. The colours of these are amazing and they staying power seems pretty on point too! Also from Rimmel I found a lonely Apocalips in the shade Apocoliptic which is a beautiful bright pink. I love the Apocalips and I didn't have this shade so it was an all in all bonus if you ask me!

The Rimmel Shadow Paints retail for £4.99 in boots, the Apocalips are £6.49 and the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows are £6.99 so I think I saved myself a fair few pennies! Girls you better get on it and get down to your local Poundland, you never know what might be hidden in the makeup section! I remember finding a Stila powder in Poundland a long time ago too! BARGAINS!
