Barry M 'Duchess' Texture Nail Paint!

So this is my second last post before christmas! I'm so excited and what better to write about than a nice festive sparkly nail polish?!

I'm a huge fan of Barry M nail polishes anyway, they always seem to deliver in terms of application and longevity on the nails, I find they last for days without chipping and this one is no exception! This textured nail polish to me is pretty much a thick glitter polish that you don't need a base coat under, this beautiful nude colour is great as it doesn't clash with anything and it adds the perfect amount of glamour to any look. I took these pictures when my nails were quite short and not looking their best but I couldn't not share this with you and hopefully you like it! I only need one coat of this polish, it dries super quick and I'm good to go as its quite opaque and looks great!

REN Clearcalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser!

So lately my skin has been playing up quite a bit, from hormonal breakouts to just nasty blemishes in random places - it hasn't been pretty. I decided to invest in a more clarifying cleanser, in the hope that  my skin might calm down and with being oily skinned the sound of a clay cleanser sounded awfully appealing!

What I like most about this cleanser is the fact it really leaves my skin feeling clean, I think the clay based formula helps draw the impurities from my skin - similar to how a clay mask would - but in a gentle and calming way. I think this is what makes it so great, since I've started using it my skin has calmed down massively and I'm back on track with almost clear skin (yay!). It smells a little menthol but its not too overpowering meaning I think it would be okay on sensitive skins too. It feels really lovely to use, you wet your hands a little and put one pump on your fingertips and then massage it over your skin for one to two minutes and then I like to rinse it off with a muslin cloth and really does clean the skin. When I use this my blemishes are less red and generally look less angry and with this cleaning the skin so well I think thats what helps prevent any further skin issues. From using this every night I've also seen huge improvements in my blackheads too which is great!
If you're in the market for a new cleanser and you're skin likes to play up now and again this is definitely something to keep in mind!

Urban Decay 'Sellout' Eyeshadow!

I love a good eyeshadow, especially when it comes to Urban Decay! I'm so excited for the Naked 3 palette!! Anyways, my friend Emmelene was kind enough to gift this to me for my birthday last month and been using it non stop!

Urban decay eyeshadows always impress me, they're buttery soft and the pigmentation is always amazing! This colour is no exception! I love this shade so much, its a slightly pinky shimmer that almost has a kind of pearlescent kind of look to it. My camera hasn't done the swatch any justice but I can tell you its absolutely stunning! I particularly like this eyeshadow for highlighting the inner corner of my eye as it really brightens them up! As with all Urban Decay eyeshadows I do feel a primer is recommended, although I'm not sure I can be the judge as I probably have the worlds oiliest eyelids! Regardless this is a beautiful colour and it lasts all day on me when I use my usual primer!

Josie Maran 'Poppy Paradise' Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelee!

So if you know me well, you know I'm a blush hoarder.. But this particular little beauty has become a recent favourite! Unfortunately Josie Maran products aren't available here in the UK but I'm luckily enough to have a Gran who travels across to America a few times a year. I asked her to pop into Sephora for me for a few things and I'm so happy this was on my list!

Although this cream blush looks bright in the pot, it actually applies more sheer. I personally like this as with being pale its easy for me to be a apply a little too much product and end up looking a little too rosy. This, however, manages to prevent that quite nicely. The reason I love this so much is because its not any other cream blush that I own, I find that this stains my skin a little which means it lasts pretty much all day! It can also be built up if you want a more intense colour too, applying two or three sheer layers will give you a much darker shade. With being pretty pale one layer is just fine for me but if you have darker skin tones you may have to build this up a little for it to show up well. I love how this applies too, it goes on beautifully with fingers or what I like to do is use a duo fibre brush and buff it into the skin which makes it look super natural.

Overall I really like this product, I don't really know too much about Josie Maran as a brand but I'm really interested to try more of their products! Have you guys tried this or any other products from this brand?

Face of the Day - A Winters Day!

So its been forever since I did my last face of the day post, but I want to into the habit of doing them again as it encourages me to use different products instead of reaching for the same things!

Today I went for a light base and a light wash of colour over my lids. It was absolutely freezing outside but the sun was still shining! I didn't want to go too crazy with my makeup today as I wasn't doing anything special, just a quick trip to the village to pick a few things and then back home to do some college work and blogging! On my eyes I used two cream products, the mac prolong wear paint pot and the makeup forever aqua cream in 14, I think they work nice together when they are used subtly to add a nice bit of dimension to the lids.

Let me guys know what you think of this look! And Who's getting excited for christmas?!

November Beauty Favourites!

Well, hasn't December come around quickly this year! I'm sure everyone is going to be talking about how quickly this year has gone by, but it really has and its been a great year so far too! I thought about doing blogmas this month but with my college deadlines nearing I thought better to prioritise! Not to worry though as I'll still be blogging ever 3rd day so there'll be plenty of posts for all you lovely readers!

This month I've discovered quite a lot of new things and I found it hard to narrow it down to 5! I don't like to write about mass amounts of products in my favourites, I just like to talk about the ones I definitely haven't stopped using haha!

1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation - I was in need of a new foundation not too long ago and boy this stuff is amazing! It has great build able coverage that looks so flawless at natural. Definitely a must have in my opinion!

2. Tarte 'Tipsy' Amazonian Clay Blush - On my grans recent trip to the US I asked her to pop in to Sephora to pick up a few bits for me and this is definitely my favourite This is the most perfect pink-coral blush with the nicest hint of shimmer. It adds so much radiance to the face and it lasts all day!

3. REN Clearcalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser - My skin has been playing up a little and I've been suffering from the most beautiful breakouts! I've been using this over my usual cleanser and my skin has cleared up massively! They clay texture really leaves the skin feeling super clean and it absorbs all the excess oil in my skin too which helps prevent further pesky spots!

4. NARS Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Palette - This palette is such a beauty and I'm so glad I decided to purchase it! I'm particularly a fan of the highlighter and the darkest blush (which I can't remember the name of..) It has the perfect blush for every look as well as an amazing bronzer and highlight!

5. L'Oreal #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray - I've been eyeing up the Bumble & Bumble dryspun something or other spray but the price tag has been putting me off. I picked this up on a recent Boots trip and I really love it! Its kind of like a hairspray and a dry shampoo in one and it gives my hair that nice, second day texture.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know what your favourites are this month in the comments below!

Hourglass 'Dim Light' Ambient Lighting Powder!

So the hype around these bank breaking powders is huge and I guess I could say I gave in! I tried to resist for so long but we all like to treat ourselves, right?

Anyways, I decided to buy this powder in the Dim Light shade as I wanted to use it as an all over powder. It gives the skin a really nice radiant look without being shimmery or glittery. The powder is also beautifully finely milled so it almost looks like nothing on the skin and it creates a lovely glow.

Hourglass Say: "The power of ambient—or surrounding—light makes a true difference to our appearance. Think about how the complexion appears in soft candlelight compared to harsh fluorescent light. This idea is at the heart of Hourglass new Ambient Lighting Powder, as each powder delivers a soft focus effect that emulates a different flattering light source."

Dim light is supposed to soften the complexion and blur and imperfections which I think it does so well. Dusted lightly over foundation or on its own it adds a beautiful light to the skin! If you want to treat your self and splash out then I would say this is definitely something worth checking out. I love this so much and I really want to try some of the other shades.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil!

Being the huge Nuxe fan that I am, of course I had to share another review with you guys on another on of their amazing products!

This is a dry oil which has the most gorgeous smell ever! I'm really bad at describing scents so Im not even going to try as I know I won't do it justice. I can, however, say that it smells very luxurious and sophisticated. The oil itself has a nice texture, when applied to the skin it doesn't leave it feeling greasy or tacky. It rubs in and dries quite quickly and leaves my skin feeling super soft. I love how the scent lingers on my skin for hours too! If i apply this at night time I can still smell it on my skin the next morning! I also prefer this over a heavy moisturiser sometimes as I don't have to wait around for it to dry, especially with it being colder I don't like to have to faff about when I get out the shower. I like to get dressed as soon as possible so this is great since it doesn't stop me being able to get my jeans on! (We all know how body butters and skinny jeans don't get along..) I've tried a little of this in my hair too and it was great, again it made my hair smell amazing but not only that it really brought my dry ends back to life and I use it once or twice a week to give my hair a little boost. This oil is great, it has multiple uses and if you've got dry skin or hair then this will be great for you!

I personally love this and if you're able you give it a test then I highly recommend it!

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated!

As a girl that loves a bit of glitter and shimmer, receiving this as a birthday present sent me over the moon! Having swooned over this for a while it was great opening this little surprise!

If you're of a super natural highlight then this probably won't float your boat as its got quite a bit of glitter in it. I personally love this kind of highlighter - maybe not for the everyday but sometimes we all just want to look fabulous right? Even though this does have glitter in it, its very fine and if you're careful not to apply too much it doesn't look extremely unnatural. As well as the glitter, theres plenty shimmer there too, so it definitely lights up your face and makes you look nice and radiant. Despite all this, it is lovely and as I said before, if you're not to heavy handed with your application it looks absolutely gorgeous on the skin. If you go overboard it will make you look a little like a disco ball but then again, I think the same can be said for any highlighter!

Have you tried this? Also who's excited for the Naked 3 palette?! I certainly am!

Bourjois Blush Exclusif!

As a pink lover and a cream blush fanatic, this little Boujois pot is something of joy for me!

This blush is a self adjusting pink colour, meaning it reacts differently depending on your skin and creates a shade unique to you, one that'll suit you best! For me the result is a pretty baby pink colour that compliments my snow white complexion wonderfully. It adds a lovely wash of colour to my cheeks and brings my face to life. The texture is also lovely too, creamy but not to sticky and it drys and sets on the skin well, allowing it to stay in place all day! I've seen a few swatches of this going about and for some people this blush is a super dark fuchsia and for others its a paler result than mine, so  I believe this truly creates an exclusive colour!

Have you tried this? What was your shade like?

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Oil-Control Cleansing Mask!

Oily skin? Clogged pores? Pesky blemishes? Face needs a bit of help? Look no further! Being the beauty product hoarder that I am, especially when it comes to skin care, I'm always trying out new face masks and creams in the hope the turn me from beast to beauty! This is a recent mask that stood out to me!

This is a clay mask, white in colour that sets within about 15 minutes. I don't use this mask all the time, maybe once every one or two weeks as it effects really are quite dramatic! If you have oily skin like me then this mask will be perfect for you. It manages to clear almost all my clogged pores, it leave my skin feeling much smoother and it calms my blemishes. It makes them reduce in size as well as redness which is always a bonus. It is quite drying so thats why I don't use it too frequently, and I always make sure to apply a thick moisturiser after this as sometimes it feels a little strong. It seems to draw out the oil in my skin too, probably what makes it drying - but it leaves my skin less oily for the next 4/5 days after use! Mostly I notice how much clearer my pores are! Blackheads are a thing of the past when I use this and I honestly love it! From reading around about this, I think it contains salicylic acid, which is great for fighting blemishes and probably what makes it so effective. If you're looking for something to freshen up your skin and restore it to its clean, clam self then I definitely recommend this!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub!

As many of you have probably discovered, the cold weather does nothing for our skin - especially our lips. Maybe its just me but when the cold creeps in, my dry lips become even worse! So I've been reaching for this an awful lot recently!

This is the Lush Bubblegum lip scrub. It smells amazing, like bubblegum (believe it or not) but its also very sweet and sugary smelling too. I know lots of people rave about the mint julips version of this but I'm not really an after eights fan and thats all that seems to remind me of! I much prefer this almost sickeningly sweet scent and the bright pink colour! This is lovely for dry lips, I use a little at night before I apply my lip balm and it buffs away all the chapped and flakey (gross, I know) bits off of my lips, leaving them silkily smooth and plump for the next day! I absolutely love this and I couldn't be without it!

What are your saviours for the cold weather?

NARS Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Blush Palette!

For todays post, we're talking about the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! This is my first ever NARS product and boy! I'm more than impressed!

After lusting after NARS blushers for so long (as I'm assuming most of us beauty girls do!) I finally caved in when I saw this palette! It comes with a highlighter, bronzer and four gorgeous blushes! What more could a girl want?! Heres the rundown:

Devotee (Top Left) - This is the highlighter of the palette and its super pretty! Its shimmery, but not too shimmery, no glitter but it manages to reflect so much light ad really add dimension to the face. It gives kind of like a wet look to the skin which looks amazing!

Mistinguette - (Top Centre) - This blush looks absolutely terrifying! Kind of like a more intense version of MAC Well Dressed Blush. Even though it doesn't look the most wearable blush, it actually looks really nice on the skin! It has no shimmer and when you brush a little of this over the cheeks it adds a really nice natural flush to the skin!

Orgasm (Top Right) - This is probably NARS' most popular blush and I can definitely tell why! Its such a pretty coral-pink shimmer colour that really brightens up the face and adds the most gorgeous glow!

Laguna (Bottom Left) - This is the bronzer of the bunch, another popular product from NARS. For someone pale like me its maybe a touch on the dark side but when used with a light hand it really warms up my complexion. It has a tiny amount of shimmer but I honestly can't see it when its on my face.

Deep Throat (Bottom Centre) - Whats with NARS and their names?! Haha! Anyways this blush is a lot like Orgasm but its slightly more peachy. It has a nice amount of shimmer and I love it for day-to-day wear!

Goulue (Bottom Left) - This blush is definitely the most pigmented of the bunch, a nice deep rosy colour thats perfect for this time of year. Applied with a light hand it adds a really nice winter glow to the skin despite being a matte blush!

I'm so glad I picked up this palette as its given me to chance to try out plenty of NARS blushes all at once! I definitely won't be needing to buy any more soon! Do you have this palette? Whats your favourite NARS blush? Let me know in the comments below!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation!

Now that the sun isn't shining as bright and the chance of a tan is very slim I was in the market for a new foundation. I find in the cooler months that a tinted moisturiser or BB cream isn't quite enough coverage for me but I still don't like the look of anything to heavy on the skin.

After a recent trip to Debenhams this gorgeously packaged foundation sneaked home with me and I absolutely love it! On the skin it looks wonderful, its medium coverage with a demi-matte finish meaning it looks like skin when you're wearing it. As I mentioned above I'm not a fan of heavy coverage or anything that looks heavy on the skin but despite this foundation being medium coverage it looks lovely sheered out or built up a little heavier, I'm yet to see it look cakey! For application I like to apply with with a damp sponge as I find when I use a brush it can settle into m pores a little, even with a primer underneath. The sponge manages to blend it into my skin so flawlessly and I find it doesn't settle into my pores at all. The foundation has a very runny, liquidy texture but its very easy to work with. I have combination skin, a little oily in the T-Zone and a little dry on my cheeks, this foundation doesn't emphasise my dry patches and it lasts well on my T-Zone with only one or two touch ups required during the day - which is pretty good on my skin! Overall I love this foundation, from when its applied to when I take it off at night it manages to keep my face looking flawless! I use the palest shade which is 0.5 but Urban Decay have 18 shades of this so theres bound to be a shade for you! For me I find it a pretty good match, I think I might be a 1.0 in the summer but right now 0.5 is perfect!

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick!

Why I haven't got round to writing about this sooner, I don't know! I've fallen for it so hard, and considering I was never someone who liked red lipstick - this is quite an achievement.

This lipstick was released by MAC along with the rest of the RiRi Hearts MAC, a collaboration between Rihanna and MAC. Sadly I think most of it is probably sold out by now, but I have heard another Rihanna collection is coming around christmas time!

The packaging is absolutely beautiful! Sleek rose gold with pink metallic and pink writing. It feels so luxurious compared to the usual MAC packaging and for someone who loves rose gold this is right up my street! Another nice touch is Rihanna's signature which is engraved into the bullet of the lipstick, making it look even more pretty than it already does!

As I mentioned in the beginning I wash't typically a red lipstick wearer but when I saw this combined with the packaging I couldn't resist. The red colour is perfect! I think my problem was that I couldn't find a red that I liked and that I thought complimented my skin. RiRi Woo is a blue toned red which is pretty bright and makes your teeth look so much whiter! It's what I was class as a 'perfect red'. A lot of people say this lipstick is identical to Ruby Woo from MAC but I've never tried it before so I can't compare!

From reading a few posts on this lipstick I've found that a lot of people find the Retro Matte texture very drying. I think for any matte lipstick its expected for it to not be particularly moisturising and this is no exception. However I apply some lip balm before and after I apply this and I can't say I've had any major problems with dry lips!

I absolutely love this lipstick and if you're still able to get your hands on it then I highly recommend that you try it out!
