Things I've Been Loving Lately!

Here we go! Short notes on a whole bunch of stuff that I haven't been able to get enough of lately!

Lush Lip scrub in the flavour My Boy Lollipop, yes flavour! You can eat it! It smells good, tastes good and it works really well. I've never used a lip scrub before but I don't see myself trying any other ones because I'm so in love with this! The bright pink colour is also amazing right!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in the colour Honey. You might already know this is the most popular shade of this specific product and I can definitely see why! It's just a really nice pinky, natural kind of colour. I don't like the smell.. but thankfully you can't smell it once its applied. I think these are very similar to the Clinique Chubby Sticks but the Revlon version is no where near as moisturising. I just love how easy they are to wear!

Max Factor Lipstick in Bewitching Coral. I'm not usually a lipstick person but I saw this and thought it was just such an amazing colour. To me, its like the perfect coral - not too orange! It just looks really pretty on and its pretty inexpensive.

Body Shop Beautifying Oil in Coconut. I use it on my hair and it smells amazing. It also makes my hair feel really soft which is what I hoped it would do! Not much to say apart from the fact I love it!

Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara. Personally I think it does what it says on the tin! I feel it does brighten my eyes - not too significantly, but enough that I notice a difference at least.

M.A.C paint pot in Bare Study. Goes on wonderfully, looks great on its own or used as a base, doesn't crease and it lasts all day. Can't. Stop. Using. It!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It works great and its pretty cheap. I like it better than some of the more expensive powders I've used.

Aussie Take The Heat Leave-In Cream. This smells amazing and it makes my hair feel really soft, even if it didn't protect my hair from heat I would probably still use it haha!

Hopefully I will be posting more regularly shortly and look forward to my next post which will be about how I make my hair blonder!

Dealing with Acne

I know its been so long since I've posted here, forgive me, but I've genuinely been so busy lately! To get back into the swing of things I thought I'd start by talking about things I've tried to help with my acne and also my experience with them. Obviously everyone's skin reacts differently to different things so my opinion might be totally different to someone else's. The first 3 products were prescribed by my doctor, and I'm not saying you should go to your doctor to ask for any of these as they know best and will be able to suggest something that will work for you.

Pan Oxyl.. I persevered with this for so long. To begin with I thought this was great, it seemed to quickly help blemishes disappear. However, after using it for a while I began to see the problems. My skin became exceptionally dry when I used this, to the point it was flaking off. Gross, i know. I didn't really expect this considering I have quite oily skin. Also Pan Oxyl began to make my skin very red in the areas where I used it... Seems like my skin decided after a while that it didn't like this very much.. So I gave up after I stopped seeing good results.

Duac from the beginning was a total disaster. The first time I applied it was at night before I went to bed.. Woke up in the morning to find my skin was red, raised, dry, flakey and itchy where I had used this. The same thing happened to me when I tried this a few other times too, think I'm allergic or something.. yay.

Dalacin T is what I've been using most recently and it seems to be working a lot better. Unlike the other two creams which were peroxide based, Dalacin T is an anti-biotic for this skin to fight the bacteria which causes blemishes as opposed to drying them out. I find this does make my skin very, very oily but when I use it at night its not really a problem. I've definitely seen an improvement in my skin since using this and I am pleased that finally something seems to be working!

I also find that using an oil free moisturiser helps my skin too. This specific one is Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser - which I love. :)
